The struggle is real

         


        I have my hand in many rabbit holes. From sharing my work on many social media platforms. From making and editing YouTube videos. I have caught myself down many different rabbit holes. One of which is quite dangerous I will say. The rabbit hole danger of “the views on social medica.” It’s been quite annoying that most of the adds I am currently seeing is “how to go big” or “how to be popular.” They are very persuasive or well try to be. I have been tempted; however, the main goal thankfully has been my lifeline for staying grounded. The main goal of “What’s in my purpose?” “Why am I sharing my work?”  The most powerful one I would say is “Am I learning and challenging myself.” Success doesn’t come from the number of views I get on social media. The success doesn’t come from finding “the next biggest thing.”

             Success is… Treasuring the work and the process. Enjoying learning and exploring new things. Seeing what creative and challenging ideas are possible. Success is being patient with yourself. From not pressuring yourself to “have something made.” “I need to do something, Just to get it out there.”

             Its hard to be grounded. It’s hard to not get caught up in the next big thing. It’s hard to walk on your own path which your making. The struggles of making or writing your own story, is the factors which will making you stronger in the end. It will “make dreams possible.” The struggles will give you problem solving skills you may have never thought of.

             I was briefly tempted to renew a class I briefly was tempted to. However, I realized that it was not currently in line with my dream. 3D modeling has potential of opening doors for me. The one thing I realized is. Learning well relearning the program. I got bored doing the assignments. Instead, I can learn the program brainstorming and having fun creating possible project ideas. The other thing I realized was learning there is no clear timeline. It’s my story, it’s my timeline. I don’t have to perfectly post things online. I don’t have to make perfect videos and in a perfect manner. I am human I need to remember to enjoy the process, journey, and most importantly the story being written along the way.

I had no idea, no plan, but didn't let that stop me

            Over the past few weeks as you probably could tell I haven’t carved anything new since completing the clock and redoing the other clock. Yes, I still have been creating from painting. Which I can say has been exciting in its own way. It was fun to have a different change of pace and use a different tool. Yes, my knowledge is still limited for how paint works and especially in the way of color theory and how to blend different colors. I am pleased with the result of what I was able to paint. Despite the limited knowledge I have “I didn’t let it stop me.” I do believe this is the bigger lesson which carries the greater value. My name is Kami. About 3 years ago I was feeling lost, confused, and stuck. I was just going through the motion of life. I knew something was missing but did not know what.
