The full circle investment

Life has been crazy with many adventures and the normal and abnormal or unexpected up's and downs. The common thing which comes to mind when thinking of "investment" is money or something tangible.
I was organizing all my tools to make the trip to my parents house for Christmas. Yes, the joke in my family is "I live in the garage." Can you blame me I have "Full Freedom," as long as I clean up after myself. With organizing and cleaning it got me thinking. I see my work space and the money I've invested. However, the unexpected investment is "what's more valuable," to my creating and craft adventures.
The unexpected investment goes two ways, inward and outward. The inward investment of learning and seeing " whats possible?" Building the foundation of "whats a treasure?" A treasure is the story behind and within the art work.
The inward investment is seeing different perspectives to give your work a different look and life. Giving a meaning to your art, to have it stand for something. From a reminder of how fare you have come. Or a daily reminder to believe in yourself and be motivated to "take a chance." Looking at each idea and doing the work of "trying."
Inner investment is despite something looking and seeming impossible. You remeber to be patient and let the work do its job to have the idea mature over time and on its own. Its considering all options and not giving up when "oops happens." Because giving up to easy is when it becomes "a waste." You also loose the chance to see what other beautiful work is possible, from the oops that happened.
Outward investment is sharing and giving people "the impossible." Giving them an art pieace they would not expect they could or would ever own.
Its using your motivation and creativity to be inspired to combine ideas into one work of art. The great and special power which turns art work into a treasure.
With every dollar I've invested into my craft. I do believe and have seen I've have received more in return. From what I have personally learned, and applied.
But whats even more valuable and makes a full circle investment is. The priceless moments when I give my work and the person is speechless. Where the only thing they can muster is a smile. The smile tells me the enormous impact my work has. From being a reminder they are loved, there courageous and most importantly capable. And everytime they see it, there reminded to be patient, to breath, and to enjoy the small things.
An investment is not just tangible items waiting for a return. A more valuable investment is the "full circle" and priceless moments that come along the way. Which will empower a life time.
